Remote Desktop is a very useful solution that allows you to fully operate a PC as if you are physically sitting at it - except your enjoying life somewhere else.
You could be at home on the couch, still entering info into your work accounts system.
You could be on holiday, still able to check for urgent emails, lookup the needed documents from the company file server, and respond to the email with the correct info.

What do I need?
For a simple connection between your PC at home and PC at work
- No additional software
- No additional hardware
- A broadband Internet connection at home and work
And that's it.
A shortcut is set up on your home PC or laptop that will connect over a broadband Internet connection to your work network, and give you secure, encrypted, password protected access.
Access to 2 or more PC's on your work network, simply requires a specialised ADSL Broadband router for your work Internet connection.
If you require 2 or more users to have simultaneous remote access and/or the PC's on your work network are in use, then you will require a Remote Access Server, with Remote Desktop Services software.
